Kate

Kate’s journey to running started in an unlikely place; the pool. She grew up swimming competitively and even competed at the Division 1 level at San Jose State University. Throughout her athletic career, running was something she never enjoyed, however following her retirement she decided to pick it up. What started as a way to stay fit after being done with competitive sport, turned into another opportunity to ignite the inner athlete she had been missing for some time. Since picking up the sport of running, she has competed in multiple half marathons and finished her first Marathon in 2023. She’s had the opportunity to coach recreational, high school, and college swim teams. Kate has been a group fitness instructor since 2022 and loves being able to share her passion of fitness with all ages and believes exercise strengthens your mind and spirit more than it does the body. With a degree in psychology, Kate is currently pursuing a credential in elementary education and hopes to continue coaching throughout her entire life.
